A team that has increased its orders by more than 100% over the past three years has been nominated as Team of the Year in the Staffordshire University Business Awards.

The Consumer Team at SG Fleet UK has been put forward for the accolade by Commercial Director Chris Salmon.

He said: “Their accomplishments are a testament to their exemplary teamwork. They have consistently surpassed targets and delivered exceptional results, exceeding expectations in multiple areas.

“Their unwavering dedication to customer satisfaction has elevated our brand and cemented our position as a leader in the industry.

“Through their collective efforts, they have not only achieved impressive financial growth but also fostered lasting relationships with our valued customers.”

He said consumer team members have diverse roles within the company but work collectively and cohesively towards shared goals.

The fleet services and employee car benefits company, which has a head office at Tunstall Arrow in Stoke-on-Trent, has sister businesses in Australia and New Zealand.

The consumer team has achieved 62% fleet growth over the past four years including 33% growth in the past 12 months.

“The financial performance of the past 12 months is even more extraordinary when you consider the well-publicised cost of living crisis,” added Chris.

Achievements have also included prioritising a ‘customer first’ strategy and introducing a market-leading second-hand leasing offer.
