A Staffordshire Moorlands company that is forecast to turn over £1.25 million for the first time this year credits its success and longevity to the strength of its 22-person team.

Family-run Brookeswood Joinery, based in Leek, started out making wooden ashes caskets and general joinery. It now specialises in designing and manufacturing handcrafted timber windows, doors and staircases for clients across the UK. The business celebrates its twelfth birthday this year.

The company which is run by a father, mother and son team has expanded over the years and now employs a growing team which has increased from 12 people in 2020. They have recently recruited two apprentices with plans to recruit further staff in the future.

Brookeswood’s handcrafted products are designed and manufactured by their team of skilled joiners on site at their manufacturing headquarters at Fould Farm. Over the last 12 months they’ve completed more than 75 bespoke projects with plans to increase that over the coming year.

Brookeswood Joinery has entered the Team of the Year category of University of Staffordshire Business Awards.
